Exploring Maps

Maps are the primary way educators organise content in Internote. This page explains how to explore a map effectively and get the most out of the learning structure your educator has built.

The Map View

When you open a map, you'll see a canvas with nodes connected by lines. Each node is an internote. Lines between nodes show relationships — often a recommended progression, but sometimes just thematic connections.

Interacting with Nodes

• Click a node to open the internote
• Hover over a node to see its title and a short description
• Completed nodes are visually distinguished from unstarted ones

Working During Class

• Keep the map open when your educator refers to a topic by name
• Use completed nodes as a quick revision path before an assessment
• Reopen earlier internotes when a later node depends on an idea you have forgotten
• Tell your educator which node you are on when asking for help

If you're stuck on content in a shared internote, use the Ask for Help link in the top navigation to reach the Internote help centre, or contact your educator directly.
